PowerColor X1950XTX & Sapphire
X1950XTX adalah VGA dengan VPU Radeon X1950XTX. Keduanya mengunakan
disain reference board ATI. Untuk VPU memiliki 48 pixel prosesor
dengan pengolahan 8 vertex. Interface memory dengan GDDR4 memiliki
bandwidth maksimum pada lebar 256bit memory. Panjang board mencapai
22 cm, dibandingkan reference board Nvidia yang hanya 20cm. Bila

Baik PowerColor X1950XTX & Sapphire
X1950XTX mengunakan heatsink ukuran besar. Tetapi fan pada PowerColor
X1950XTX & Sapphire X1950XTX sudah di disain lebih rendah
noise dibanding X1900XTX sebelumnya. Panas VGA pada kondisi idle
hanya mencapai 50 deg.C saja. Sedangkan ketika beroperasi penuh
akan mencapai 60 deg. C untuk open case. Bila case memiliki disain
air flow yang baik, kedua VGA diperkirakan mampu bekerja dengan
panas 65 deg.C.
PowerColor X1950XTX & Sapphire
X1950XTX memiliki heatsink dengan teknologi heatpipe. Satu pipa
kecil dipasangkan dari pendingin heatsink ke inti VPU dan dihubungkan
kebagian atas heatsink pada fin tembaga. Disain tersebut dapat
memaksimalkan untuk meredam panas procesor VGA sehingga kinerja
heatsink akan lebih efektif
Untuk cooling memory, X1950XTX memisahkan
antara pendingin VPU dengan chip memory. Pendingin memory ditempatkan
dibawah heatsink utama dengan bahan tembaga, dan ditempatkan di
bagian depan dan belakang VGA
X1950XTX adalah VGA dengan kemampuan
besar plus kebutuhan power diatas rata rata VGA standard. Minimal
spesifikasi power supply untuk X1950XTX single, direkomendasikan
memakai 450W power supply kelas premium atau lebih besar dengan
30 A pada 12V. Sedangkan untuk dual VGA atau Crossfire direkomendasikan
dengan 550W atau 38 A pada 12V. Radeon X1950XTX mengunakan external
power yang disuplai langsung dari power supply mengunakan konektor
PCIe
